Flash? Isn't Flash dead?
Well... yes. And no.
Adobe stopped supporting Flash after December 31, 2020. But some quick history: The Internet first took off for real in the 1990s, and Adobe Flash was the state-of-the-art platform for rendering multimedia content on web pages. It was one of the first truly brilliant things about the Internet, and there's a ton of great content that Internet veterans still remember fondly.
And thanks to some clever programmers, you can make your Windows 10/11 browser Flash-compatible. There are a few Flash emulators you can play with; the most popular one as of 2023 is Ruffle, available for Brave, Chrome, Firefox and MS Edge. Go to Extensions in your browser settings, go to the extensions store, and add this excellent free add-in.
